Bio

Amanda grew up in the shadow of Mount Timpanogos in American Fork- a thriving but neighborly town in the heart of Utah. Her home life was turbulent, shaped by the lies and abuse of an alcoholic father who couldn’t hold a job. Her mother did all she could to provide love and structure but her efforts were certainly curtailed by late shifts at the hospital and the nightly turmoils of her husband’s raging. Early on, Amanda understood that creating a better future was up to her. Determined to break the cycle of abuse, she chose to learn how to take control of her own path.

This new paradigm was supported and affirmed when her mother made the brave decision to leave her father. Amanda witnessed in her mother the power of inner strength and the importance of taking decisive action. This experience ignited Amanda’s desire to help other women recognize their own strength and potential for change and peace.

Amanda went on to attend Utah Valley University, where she studied body image, community health, and taught Russian to young missionaries. These experiences deepened her passion for understanding resilience and supporting others in their personal growth.

Today, as a speaker, Amanda is committed to inspiring and empowering her audience. Her mission is to help individuals realize their true worth and embrace the power they have to shape their own lives.

Amanda lives in Columbus, Indiana, with her husband, “Farmer John,” and their three children. They enjoy spending time together outdoors, hiking, and playing sports. She is an active andinfluential member of her local and religious communities.
